Meet Leslee

The Velvet Table is the creation of Leslee Hallmark, owner and creative designer. Leslee grew up in Aledo, Texas outside of Fort Worth, and has lived in the San Antonio/Boerne area for over 31 years. For as long as she can remember, Leslee has had a passion for design and a love for anything and everything related to it - like art work, interior design, linens, and over the years elegant tablescapes. Leslee is known for her meticulously curated tablescapes and extraordinary attention to detail. Her love for anything beautiful is reflected in her work, and she takes great care to ensure that every detail is perfect.

Several years ago, Leslee took her interior decorating business and branched out into the wedding industry. Along the way, she developed a love of velvet napkins which would become the inspiration for her new buisness name.

While setting up a rotating dinner for friends, she began receivng compliments on her tablescapes. This became the light bulb moment! The concept was to get family and friends back in their home entertaining on a more intimate level. As one venture leads into another, she started working on this idea before COVID. Because of COVID, Leslee felt like she hit every pothole and made every wrong turn possible. Then because of COVID, we were locked down for months. By the time the lockdown was lifted, she was afraid everyone would be sick of being in their homes, and that her idea would never work. Leslee thinks COVID proved she was on the right track! More and more people are back in their homes having dinner, and inviting their family and friends to join them. 

Leslee understands first-hand the stresses that come from entertaining. The running around trying to get everything together, planning the menu, setting up and making everything just right can take away from the joy of getting people together. Leslee found a way to help. She has taken her love of mixing patterns and textures from all of her favorite vendors into curated, luxury tablescapes in a box for rent. Say goodbye to same-old dinner plates and hello to unique table settings for your party. These curated tablescapes are a mixture of trendy to your classic, never go out of style table settings. Some tablescape collections will be a fixed collection and others will rotate on a seasonal basis with a few napkin changes here and there.
